NufSe Goldsmith has given Several years service at the hospital and has resigned to be ma'rried, A motion of sympathy with the felatives of the late Mrs. E. C. j Smithson was passed at last evehing's meeting of the Levin BoroughCouncil. The Mayor (Mr. H. B. Bufdekin) said the late Mrs. SmithSon was a very old an highly esteemed resident of the town. Congratulations were extfended to the toWh clerk (Mr. H. L. Jehkins) 0n the honour conferred upon him by the Order of St. John at ah iilVestiture by the Govfernor-General. The Mayor (Mr. H. B. Burdekin) pointed out that Mr. Jehklng -had rendered outstariding service tb the Order of St. John" since it started in Levin,' and it wa's a fitting honour.
