DEATH OF MR. HARRY CUTTS
CHEISTCHUECH, April 14. Mr. Harry Cutts, the well-known Riccarton trainer, died on Saturday morning, (58 vears of age. Eldest son of the laje Mr. and Mrs. Edward Cntts, Harry Cutts had been associated with his brother, Albert Cutts, in the training of Clifford hors%s during the past 26 years. They had trained horses for* three generations of the Clifford family • — the late Sir George Clifford, the late Sir Charles Clifford, and the present owner of Stonyhurst, Mr. J. B. DougIa$Clifford, grandson of Sir George. Harry Cutts looked after the business side of the partnership and the travelling of horses. Their act wai preparation iva,s supervised by his brother. A good shot, Harry Cutts competed with considerable success in pigeoi* shooting compe- ; tifious iii various parts of New Zealand in his younger days. He was also u keen amateur photograplier. He lind been in indifferent health for the past three years and some weeks ago entered hospital. He is survived by one sop, George Cutts, who recently returned from overseas service, a sister, Mrs. A. Di(^kson, and his brother, Albert Cutts.
