AUCKLAND, April 12. An application by defcndant company for. an adjournment of the rehearing qf the action by Lawrence Gerard ATatthews against Wilson and Horton, Ltd., in which plaiwtifT claim ed £000 damages for alleged libel an(l the iurv disagreed, was granted by Mr. Justice Fair in chambers in the Supreme Court this morning. The case was adjourned till the October ses.sion because of the prospective absenee in Britain at the Empire Press Conference of Imslie Knox Munro, editor of the New Zealarul I-Ierald, an essential witness for the defendant company.
