The Dominidn Prime , Minister's conference is Expected to take steps to restore Australia from the United States defence zone to a specifically British Commonwealth sphere, says Reuter's military correspondent. Thev correspondent expresses the opinion that there'will be a change in traditional defence policy arising from the reorganising of the military forces ih the Middle East, and as a fesult of the present negotiations in India, emphasis would be on a long-term defence programme, securing all essential Em- j pire positions without imposing an unbearable strain on any one I country.
