Reported from Mel'DOurne that a new chum empioyed as a rousabouti on a big up-country station acci- 1 dentally swallowed some sheep dip — with fatal results. Tne dip, xg wao . shown at the 'inquest, contamed a| quantity of nicofcine. Hence the! tragedy! Of course, as most people 1 know, nicotine is a deadly poison! j iAnd yet smokers innumerable arej ) tuioen wirhout reaiising it) con- j I stantly exposing themselves to needless risk by smoking tobacco loaded with nicotine. Of course, when consumed in the pipe bad tobacco acts comparatively slowly. But "it gets there ail the same," and its habitual use may be attended with disastrous results. Be on tne safe side and use "toasted." The toasting this famous tobacco gets at the factory frees it to a large extent from nicotine, and this renders it practically harmless. As for flavour and aroma, toasted — the genuine toasted — stands absolutely alone. | lxiere is no tobacco to compare with it. Ask ior Oue Plag No. jlj (Bullshead), Navy Cut No. 3 (Bulldog) , Cavendish, Riverhead Gold or Desert Gold, and tailormades. All toasted 1 T »
