TRUCK CRASHES INTO BRlDGE

WHANGAREI, April 12. Dr. Victor Ryland Nicholsqn, medical superintendent of the Nurse Cavell Memorial Hospital ut Paparoa, was drowned last evening when a truck in which he was pro= - ceeding from Pahi to Maungaturoto crashed through a bridge into eighteen feet of water. He was trapped in the cab, but the driver was dragged out hy a passenger, who had been riding on tlije back of the truck.
