WANGANUI, April 30. Tlie Wanganui masters bakers today urged" tlie Govermnent to tako aetion under tlie Industrial Oonciliation and Arbitration Aet against otfieials and individual members of tlie Bakery Employees' Union for decisions in Wanganui and elsewhore not to bake bread on Saturdays. An urgeut telegram seut this morning to tlie Aeting Minister of Labour (Hon. J. O 'Brien) in tlie name of the Wanganui-Taranald Master Bakers' Association reads: "Your attention is drawn to the result of the visit of the national secretary of the Bakery Employees' Union to Napier last weekend and the decision that Saturday baking be stopped after Easter. There was a similar result after the same person addressed a meeting of Palmerston North enqiloyees yesterday, liut ^ that decision is to take ell'eet inimediately. We urge the Government to take immediate action against the union officials and individual members under the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Aet." I11 spite of the union threat to deelare "black" any bakehouse operating 011 Saturdays, the' Wanganui Master bakers have decided to meet as niuch of the Easter publie demand as giossible themselves.
