MERGER APPEAL DISMISSED

The appeal by Mrs. J. Larsen against the decision of the Wanganui district committee in relation to her coniplaint against E. C. Baker, licensed trainer and jockey, cpncerning the ownership of the horse Merger, whicli is raced by Mr. T. Dick, was lieard by the appeal judges on Tucsday. After considering tlie evidenee given hefore the district committee and liearing counsel for the appellant and for E. Baker, and liearing additional evidenee, tlie judges issued the following linding: — "We are satisfied that Nlrs. Larsen signed the transfer of the horse Merger as required by Rule 119 of the Rules of Racing as to clmuge ol: ownership, tliereby trausferriug tlie horse to Mr. T. Dick, who then became its owner 011 August 3, 1945. Her appeal is tliereby disniissed. ' ' The judges were Messrs J. Macfarlane Laing, G. D. Beatson and R. J. Murphy.
