SUCCESSFUL CLEARING SALE A recent clearing sale held by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., on account of Mr. K. L. Read, of Weraroa Road„ was very successful. The cows came forward in good order and buyers were present from a wide area. The herd averaged £14, including ten August calvers. A wide range of sundries was also offered and sold at full market rates. The realisations were as follow: Cows in milk, £13, £14, £17, £18 to £20 5s; springing cows, £13, £18, £22 to £24; August calvfers, £8 10s, ^10, £11, £13 to £15; weaner heifers, £6 14s; yearling heifers, £7.
