FIRE DESTROYS HOMESTEAD
Tlie homestead of Mrs. _ Charles Masters, on Lee's Line, Feilding, was eompletely destroyed by fire shortly after 5 o'clock last evening. Mrs. Masters was in Feilding at the time and it is understood that her son was en gaged -in milking when the house burs! into flames. Efforts were made to rescue some of the contents but so greal was the heat from the flames that only a few articles were secured from oue oi the rooms. Mrs. Masters arrived home in time to vvitness the collapse of the dwelling which is a total loss. It was insured with the Farmers' Mutual lnsuranceOfl5.ce. The. cause of the outhreak is uaknowa, _
