Hwi'ft Jay (Amey) worlccd keenly over six furlongs in 1.23 2-5. B'ne has a doubtful leg and may not staiul up to mueh training. Uuplit'ity (Aitlcen) was not required to do her best over six' furlon'gs. in 1.25 1-5. In a similar ta.sk, Broderie (W. Kout) impressed more tlian 1 First King (E. 11 out) to reeord 1.25 4-5.' Persuade (Saunders) covered three furlongs smartly in 40see. The Coronach liily displayed plenty of speed at Wanganui after getting away poorly. Saluclos (Sellars), Speed King (Boreham) and Langue d'Or (liouse) kept on terms over six furlongs in 1.28. Langue d'Or's next niission will be the Feilding Gup at Easter. Candidates for' the Brighton Ilurdles at Ellerslie, Mvnet (Saunders) and Kanui te Pai (Aitlcen), were assoeiated over seven furlongs in 1.42 1-5. The Ninth Dulco gelding bears an improved ap[jearance and is boolced to contest the Easter Handicap at Ellerslie. . The two-year-olds Tribute, Voltaic and Sicilled vvorlced separately over three furlongs, but were not after time. Yamlra (Bronghton; conceded Prince Wanaka (Aitlcen) a couple of lengths over six furlongs and beat him cornfortably in 1.21 1-5, after running the first three in 39 3-5see. Yandra is a greatly improved lilly and is to go uorth at Easter to contest the Great Northern Oalcs. Merry Itobin (Brouglitou) and West Meatli (Reid) wero assoeiated over three furlongs in 42 3-5 sec. Moderate (Pearce) and another loolc 43 2-5see.
