WELLINGTON, April 8. "The N.Z.R.S.A. is pleased to see that the Government lias atforded recognitlon to its representations on behalf of the dependent children of the widows of deceased Servicemen," said Mr. C. O. Bell, Dominion vice-president, in a statement toda.y. "Whilc the universal family benefit will not be avail- | able to such children, the granting of a j mother 's allowance of 30s a week to war widows .constitutes timely assist- | ance, as also does the inclusion of the J children of disabled Servicemen. "It is also pleasing to see that the benefit. payable to civil widows with or without children has been increased," said Mr. Bell. "The association eongratulates the Government for its practieal recognition of the importance of mothers to the future well-being of the Dominion."
