LOCAL AND GENERAL
Personal Capt. Brown, who has been on the secretarial staff of the ■ Otaki Sanitorium, left yesterday to take up a position with the Buller Hospital Board. Karori Cricketers' Visit Members of the Karori Cricket Club visited Otaki at the weekend and had a very enjoyable outing. Rain, unfortunately, interfered with play, but the visitors returned home, stating before leaving that the match would be completed at 110 distant'date. Professor Algie's Visit Professor Algie is speaking at a public meeting next Thursday in the Otaki Railway Hall. It is some time since such a meeting was held in Otaki. That fact and the reputation of Mr. Algie as a speaker is creating much interest in the meeting. A special bus will run, leaving Otaki Beach at 7.30 p.rn.
