On a riumber of occaslons the fire beli , has been rung unlawfully, thus causing inconvenience to the public and especially to brigadesmen, who have to leave their work uiinecessaBily. .The sounding of f^lse fire alarms is a bfeach of the law and subject to heavy penalty. At the meeting of the Shannon Volunteer Fire Brigade, held on Monday evening, it was decided to write to the headpiaster of the iocal school pohiting out the seriousness of the offence, and asking him to bring it: to the notice of school children. :
