For some time the , Patrioticy Society has held very successful functions, but this great •fmale'will prpbably eclipse them all. Preparations are in the -hands of a very, capable and energetic committee,.- and, theref ore, success is assured. , ■ • ; Pevotional Service On Saturday evening Canon Wat•son, Diocesan Missioner, , held a Devotional Service for- lay-readers at All Saints' Church. After the service, evening p.rayer' was.taken by two of the. lay-readers, when an adjournment was made to the vicarage. After tea an interesting discussion took place on the subject of public worship.
