REDUCTION IN WAGES TAX
The Commissiofier of Taxes draws the attention of "employers to the notice regarding the date from which the reduction in the rate of wages tax takes effect. Doubt appears to exist in this ,connec.tion aqd the Commissioner advises that the reduction in the rate from 2s 6d in the (E to 2s in the £ operates after May 12 and applies to salaries and wages derived only in respect of any period after that date.
