LIFE MEMBERSHIP OF R.S.A. CONFERRED
WELLINGTON, April 1. The gold badge of life membership of the New Zealand R.S.A. was presented to Admiral Mountbatten by the Dominion vice-president, Mr. C. O. Bell, at the Wellington R.S.A. clubrooms this afternoon. Lady Mountbatten was present. There have been only 22 such awards in the association 's 30 years of existence, among the holders being the pres§nt King, tlie Duke of Windsor, the Governor-General (Sir Cyril Newalij and the Govemor-General-Designate (Sir Bernard Freyberg). The honour is conferred for outstanding service to the Empire, New Zealand or the R.S.A.
