The latei Mrs. Elderton, who was 71 years1 of- age-,'" "wds well-known and highly respected. Death came: suddenly but . .peaceTully,- although • it : was- kno.wn that Mrs. Elderton had not enjoyed the best of health for some, ■time,.. Desy pite this she was always kindly and cheerful. The deceased lady ' came froih England.-in. the ."Waimana," arriving in Weilingtoh in 1921) and after a brief stay there came ' to Otaki where she had- resided e-Ver sirice; with the exception of about three years spent at Ohau. Two sfsters are in Ehgland, while ohe; Mrs. J. R. - -Otakiv ^ pas'se4;. away some .years" ago. A hiisband,) a daughter, Maude (Wellington)., and a son, Ray (Levin) , are left to mourn their loss. Much sympathy is expressed for the bereaved. The funeral will take place on Tuesday, foliowing a service at All Saints' Church at 2 p.m.
