PRAYER
O God, once again we bririg our prayers to Thee, help us to call to mind what Thou hast revealed Thyself to be. For Thou art.holy and just and true, and hotliin'g false can live in Thy presence. They that " worship Thee' must wOrship Thee in spirit and truth; and when we stand before Thee Thine eyes search usinwardly and know us altogther. Give us grace to endure Thy . light and to pray in sincerity; search me, O God, and know my heart; try me and. know my thoughts; and see if there be any wicked way in me, and iead me' in the way everlasting. O righteous and merciful God, save us" from the portion of the hypocrites. Give us first a whole heart and a faithful spirit to seek after Thy will and to do it. Let not our own sin and double-mindedness deny our requests. Make us in ourselves what we would have all men be, and what Thou wouldst have us be. Refine us with the fire of Thy love. Make us fit to fight Thy battles, and employ us to win a victory that is Thine, for Thy truth's sake. Amen.
