AIR VICE-MARSHAL'S POST--WAR CAREER
JOINING PALMERSTON NORTH FIRM AUCKLAND, March 29. While serving with the Royal Air Foree (lelegation in Washington for the past five years on business connected with the Com binecl Chiefs oi' Staff, Air Yice-Marshal A. F. Lang, C.B., O.B.E., A.F.C., and commander of the American Legion of Merit, decided that he would make his postwar career in New Zealand. His plans were carried out and he reached Auckland by the Monterey to join a Palmerston North firm hand ling food products, cliiefly honey production. Air Vice-Marshal Lang, who wears a pilot's brevet, went from England to Canada in 1941 to form the first radar school in Canada — at Clinton, Qntarioand. then was attached to Washington. The duty of the delegation of which he was a member was to represent ^ tht views of the Air Ministry jft the com bined. conference tables in WashingtonHis immediate responsibilty was directly associated with problems embracing the whole field of radar and interpreting London policy to the Amerieans.
