Received Saturday, 10.50 a.m. LONDON, Mg,rch 29. A treaty of alliance between Britain and ihe Emir of TransJordan, the terms of whicli were published , in a White Paper to-day, proyides that Britain may continue to station armed forces in Trans-Jordan, and that the. Emir will grant faeilities at all times for the movement and training of British armed forces. Should either party become involved in hostilities as the result of an armed attack by a third party, the other party will immediately come to its aid. There shali be perpetual peace and friendship between the two countries, with Britain recognising Trans-Jordan as a fnlly independent state. Should a dispute arise which might endanger the maiptenance of international peaee and seeurity, a solution by peaceful means as providSd for by the Charter of XJnited Nations should be sought.
