THE Army detention barracks at Aldershot, England, was in the news last month, when a number of prisoners attacked the guards, overpowered them, freed the remaining prisoners, and then started an all-in riot. Dozens of fire engines were called to the prison as horrified onlookers, among whom were wives and mothers of prisoners, saw smoke curling from the main building, on the roof of which the detainees were demonstrating. This picture shows prisoners swarming on the roof of the building. They wrecked it.
