CEREMONIOUS WON WELL

Ceremonious, a 3-year-old grey gelding by Thei, from Queen's Salute has the makings of a good horse. The easy style in which he won at Awapuni on Saturday when he was ridden by W. Mudford, shows that he is a much improved horse. In January he was an easy winner of a maid£n race at the- Ashurst meeting held at Awapuni, but in his next three starts he failed to get in the money, and this left doubt ' about his galloping ability, but at ! Trentham he ran a much improved j race, and looked a certain winner inside the last furlong, only to stop badly, and again failed to fill a place. He led from start to finish ; over the six furlongs last Saturday and followers of form will accord him support at his next start.
