SING-APGRE, March 26. Major-General Itzuki Tosbio, former Japanese commander in the Nicobar Islands, will be shot, and five warrant officers and non-commissioned otficers, and otber rank's will be hanged i'or atrocities against natives in the Nicobar Islands, by decision of the War Crimes Oourt., It is also aniiounced that one oth'er was sentenced to 15 years' imprisonment, two to 12 years' imprisonmenfc, and five to 10 years' imprisonment. Two vvere acquitted.' The Japanese in the Nicobar Islands executed 83 inhabitants who were accused of signalling to British aircraft.
