OTAKI ACES SPORTS CLUB
— ANNUAL PICNIC Otaki Aces Sports Club's grand annual picnic for honorary members and members' parents, was held on Sunday at Mr. Galloway's property, Rahui Road. The picnic, which is to be an annual fixiure, was the first of its kind the club has held. A perfect day started things off well, and a programme of games, xaces, horse-shoe pitching, and nail driving was enjoyed by all present. Lollies scrambles and free ice-creams and soft drinks, delighted old and young alike, and the treacly apple race caused much amusement. The club captain, Mr. G. McKinley, when presenting the prizes, congratulated the successful competitors. The idea of the picnic, he said, was to provide a day's fun for the silent supporters of the club. They were the honorary members ■and members' parents. He thanked those present for their attendance and support, and expressed the hope that everyone had enjoyed themselves. (Cheers and applause) .
