JUMPERS PROVIDE INTEREST
Juinpers provided main interest at Awapuni yesterday morning, when Red Glare and Mynet, who are to make their appearance next .Saturday, were responsible for a brilliant display of hurdling. The No. 1 grass provided exqellent going for galloping, but the m,ajority of liorses who raced on Saturday were let off with light tasks. Begowned (Goulsbro) Jinished ahead of Mary Jo (Waddeil) over five furlongs in 1.7, the last three taking 40 4-5sec. Skilied (Aniey) ied Gala Song (Bovvnessl throiighout hve furlongs run in 1.4 1-5, the last three. in 39sec. The tunnel' is a two-year-old halfbrother to Reorapa and shapes promisingly. Mesalliance, who went a creditable race last Saturday, . covered an easy Jive furlongs in 1.9 2-5. Langue d'Or (Sellars) and Arco ' (Boreham) were responsible for the best of the morning by running six furlongs in 1.17 2-5, the last three m 39 3-5see. The former linished solidly, and is very well. He should add interest to the Awapuni uioid Gup 011 Saturday. Army Souvenir and a companion sprinted three furlongs -in 38sec. Flying Robin (Waddeil) lut out attractivejy over an easy five furlongs in 1.6 4-5. The Trentham colt receivocl a poor run in the Sires' Produce Stakes and may be seen to better advantage on Saturday. Lady Hilton (Goulsbro) covered six furlongs in 1.18 2-5, a fair eft'ort. On the plough, Financial (Waddeil; was under % good hold while running a mile, the last five furlo-ngs talang l.b.
