MAY VISIT NEW ZEALAND
ENGLISH WOMEN'S ELEVEN A11 English women 's cricket side will visit Australia in tlie 1947-48 season. according to Miss Roe, of tlie Victorian Women 's Cricket Association; a visitor at- Wellington women 's cricket last week. Efforts are certain to be made to induce the English team to coine to New Zealand. The New Zealand Council' has alreadv invited Australia to send a team tc New Zealand next summer and the tour should benefit the Anstralians before their games against England. When the Australian team toured Engrlaud in 1937 their record was as follows: Matehes playedj .19 ; won, 12; lost, 1; drew, 0.
