SCHOOL JUBILEE
KOPUTAROA' S VELEBR ATION S The committee which is responsible for the organisation of the 1 Koputaroa School's jubilee cele- | brations on the week-end of April i 5-7, met recently, when arrangej ments for the various functions ! were finalised. ! Owing to the large number -of j applications for tickets, admission j to the dinner has been limited to ! the f ollowing: — past and present | pupils, teachers and committeemen j and parents of past and present ! pupils, with their wives and husj bands in each case. Also included j are settlers of the district. Arrangements are being made to '■secure a supply oi bunting for the i occasion. | Organised parking of vehicles will ' be arranged in the sehool grounds | along the- boundary. At night cars : will park in the section opposite the hall. With the exception of the dinner I the public generally is invited to all : the functions, and it is hoped that as many as possible will attend. Afternoon tea will be available on both days at the school. t Some concern has been expressed - that a numb ir of ex-pupils have not : received notices. However, if they I attend the ceiebrations badges and | ribbons will be available at the ' school. it was reported that every thing i was in train to make the dance on | Friday night one to ba remembered. j Cliff Anderson's band. one .of Manawatu's leaders, has bccn engaged. Owing to unforeseen circumstances the manufacturer has been unable to deliver the badges. They are expected in the next day or so, and will be posted out to those who have replied to their invitations.
