"The Merry Monahans," one of Universal's biggest productions of jthe season, screens at the Regent Theatre to-day and to -morrow. The Universal film projects the eonsiderable talents of Donald O'Connor, Peggy Ryan, Jack Oakie and Ann Blyth, mounted against a background of vaudeville in its halcyon days. The supporting lineup of topflight performers includes -Rosemary De Camp, Isabel Jewel, John Miljan. and Gavin Muir. The supports include latest March of Tirne, "Report on Italy." The long battle of Italy hasn't finished. Battles do not always mean men fighting with gun or bayonet, plane or tank. Battle also can mean a fight to live, to conquer the havoc and destruction of land, building and morale.
