LADY GOLFERS MEET
At the annual general meeting of the ladies' section of the Levin Golf Club held recently, the following officers were elected for the 1946 , season: — Captain: Mrs. R. A. Fred- j erikson; vice-captain: Mrs. A. | Hastedt; hon. secretary: Miss E. R. i Hosie; committee: Mrs. Ryder, Mrs. Clarke, Miss L. Herriek and Miss Philiips. For the benefit of new players a "C" grade competition run on similar lines to those in past seasons, will be played during the season on Saturday mornings, commencinga at 10 a.m. sharp. All those members wishing t'o bp drawn in this competition are to sign their names on the sheet providec^ in the _ clubhouse, as it is hoped to begin on April 6. The draw for each week will be advertised. . All members are advised that new rules have been posted in the clubhouse for the piaying of the ! Hunter challenge buttons, and it is hoped that these arrangements will create fresh interest in them. The usual weekly eompetitions, commencing with an L.G.U. medal round on April 10, will run throughout the season, in addition to cup matches and club championships, I which will be resumed this year 1 after being in abeyance durine the jwar period. .
