Thc weather was cxccllent for . softball at Otaki 011 Saturday. The ; Ajax team travelled to Otaki andj suffered a double defeat at the j hands of Otaki Aces and Rahui! Men. The game between Aces and; Ajax was very even up to the third innings, when Ajax faultered and| Aces, losing no time, took advantage of the Ajax mistakes and forged j ahead to win by 32 — 14. The second game saw Ajax go under to Rahui Men, whose hard hitting had Ajax extendcd throughout the game. Rahui Men finally came out the victors by 23—13. Otaki Aces and Rahui Men, now equal with 18 points each, will meet 011 Saturday in the flnal game for the shield.
