Nuptial Mass took p'iace at St. Mary's Church, the ceremony being performed by the . Rev. Father Cahill, -with Miss Patricia Murphy, of Nelson, as soloist. The bride wore a becoming gown of white satin-embossed taffeta, with a high neckline, fltting bodice, long graceful skirt and full train. She wore a handsome heirloom gold and pearl necklet, loaned by an aunt, and her bouquet was of white begonias, maidenhair fern and gladioli. The veil was carried - by bridesmaids, Marjorie Liddle and Margaret Ross, both of 'Tahunanui. They wore identical frocks of apple green taffeta, with fitted bodices, short sleeves/long gored ski'rts and trimmed with taffeta ruching. Their Parisian model toques matched their frocks and were trimmed in front with flame organdie- blossoms and at the back with bows of apple green net, falling into shoulder length veils. They carried bouquets of maidenhair fern and begonias, ranging in tone from deep apricot to flame. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. William Sefton, of Wellington, as best man, while Mr. Bede KingTurner, of French Pass, carried out the duties of groomsman. Mr. and Mrs. Witton will make their future home in Wakefield.
