Personal Miss Jean McLeod, who has been the guest of Miss Jean Cameron, has returned to her home in Auckland. Mrs. Taylor, of Pahau-tanui, is the guest of her sister, Mrs. D. Sands, of Ballance Street. Week-end visitors to Shannon included Mr. and Mrs. Marthv of Wellington, who were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Roach. ^ ,■ The f riends of Miss Lexie Sinclair, who is a patient in the Palmerston North Hospital, will' be pleased to hear that she is miich improved in health. Sheepbreeder's Success Recently Mr. G. W. Munford, Pretoria Road, travelled with six of his Commodore Southdown stud rams to the Canterbury stud* ram fair held at Christchurch. All. were sold, the prices realised being 30, 50, 65, 75, 75 and 80 gns. respectively, averaging 62 guineas and placing Mr. Munford fourth highest on the list of a large number of vendors. This, Mr. Munford considered, very satisfactory as it was the first appearance of the Commodore Stud at a South Island . ram s fair. All Mr. Munford's rams of the 1944 season that were available for sale have now been disposed of, leaving him only the, two top rams most suitabie for ' improving his Southdown stud flock1 '• . v-
