INDUSTRIES FOR SHANNON
♦ — MR. LOWRY TO MEET PEOPLE Speaking at the Shannon Borough Council meeting on Tuesday evening in reference to the meeting held some months .ago' when Mr. L. G. Lowry, M.P., met the citizens and heard suggestions for the improvement of the town as far as industries were concerned, the Mayor (Mr. R. E. Downes) advised the council that he had had a furth'er discussion with Mr. Lowry, who had advised him that he would be again wiinng to visit Shannon to meet the people and hear any new ideas or suggestions. The Mayor said he had arranged for Mr. Lowry to attend a public meeting to be held in the Renown Theatre on .Thursday, March 28, and he hoped there would be a iarge gathering and a number of new suggestions to put before Mr. Lowry.
