REPATRIATION OF POLES IN BRITISH FORCES
LONDON, March 20. The Foreign Secictary, Mr. Eevin, toid the House of Conimons this aft-er-noon that agreement had now been reached with the Polish Provisionai Government; over the return home of Polish troops uncler British conimand who wish to go. He said tnat every member of the PQlish fcrces was being given a document in Polish, vrfch a personal message from himself e-plaining the conditions for their ret irn. Eepatriation will be inade by the British Gcvem ment in consultaticn v/ith the Polish Government, and sc far as possible the men will' be dealt v/ith in categories rather than by insisting on scrutiny by their individual Consuls. Mr. Bevin emphasiscd that the problem had been fully explained by botli tffe Prime Minister and himself to Generai ' Anders and other Polish com manders. "We had to mahe it quite clear to them," ne said, "that we coul.l iiot .reserve the Polish jtroops as an armed force under British nommaud."
