Regprts from the Wellington and Hawke's Bay disfricfs tb,at cut-olfs in the supply of electricity had been imposed to meet urgent demands for economy in unit consumption were referred to Mr. R. A. Frederikson, managing-secretary of the Horowhenua Board to-day. Mr. Freclerikson said that as far as the Horowhenua district was concerned, the ppsifion had been assisted by the mild weather. On that aceount consumption had only jast Jbeen below the board's allocation of power. In consequence it was not at present necessary to impose cut-,oh periods. He war»ed, however, that the margin was very small, and if a cold snap was experienced .the jpnposition of cut-offs might become necessary.
