FACIAL ECZEMA

-Press Association

NO SERIOUS OUTBREAKS

Bv Teleoravh-

WELLINGTON, March 20. Fears that the drought experienced in the North Islilnd this season might be followed by serious outbrealcs of facial eczema among sheep have so far proved unfouiided. "We are not yet, hovvever, completely out of the wood, " said the Director oi' the Livestoelc Division of the Department of Agriculture, Mr. W. C. Barry, t-oday*. There had been some minor outbreaks, notably 8«ar Whakatane and in Houth Auckland, but nothing more than normal. There were each season some cases among particularly susceptible sheep, and if the growth ol! grass continued to be gradual, it could be lioped that any serious outbrealc would be avoided.
