OVERDRAFT OF £8000
MANAWATU CATCHMENT BOARD Aeting upon the advice of the Hoil Conservatiou and Rivers Control Couucil, the Manawatu Catcliment Board is to exercise its rights under the provisions of the Local Bodies Finance Act for the purpose of obtaining future ad ministration funds pending receipt of rates. The necessarv steps to obtain an overdraft aecominodation of £8000 for the tinancial y;ear commencing April 1, 1946, with the Bank of New Zealand were taken at a meeting of the board in Palmerston North vesterday. Previously the board has drawn its funds from the Soil Conservation and River Control Council, at an interest rate of 3$ per cent. Interest rate on funds drawn from the bank will be 4 per cent, calculated on day to day bal ances.
