CHRISTCHURCH, March 19. , Five solo events and the first A grade Test seiection were decided' when the New Z ea land Victory Band Contest was contiiiued today. Thei'e was a Jarge attendance, at the Oivic Theutre tonight, when six bands oompeted'iu the A grade test, the set piece being ''Epio Symphony ' The results of the events were: — A grade test selection (the judge aanounced that the three" piaoecl uands were no't necessarily in order of ment): Wanganui Gurrison, Woolston Brass, Wellington Waterside Silver. The sec ond part of the test will be played on Thursday. -.Boys' solo.under 17: Graham Downes (Auckland Waterside Silver Band) v points 1; Kenneth G.
