BRITISH SHIPPING FIRES

ORIGIN NOT SABOTAGE Received Tuesday, 7.20 p.m. LONDON, March 19. The Minister of War Transport (Mr. Barnes) said in the House of Comihons that he considered it unnecessary to investigate any recent series of ship fires, -except the Empire Waveney and the Queen Elizaheth, hecause he v/as satisfied there had heen no sabotage. There was also so far no evidence that either of the latter fires had heen capsed by sabotage.
