SATURDAY MARRED BY RAIN For the second time during the summer sports season, heavy rain on Saturday afternoon prevented any of the competition matches arranged being played. There were no matches in the Hall shield cricket competition and in consequence the scheduled games, which were as follows, will be played next week: Otaki v. Old Boys, at Otaki; Levin v. College, at Levin Domain; and Weraroa v. Shannon, at Weraroa. During the week-end the Mana-watu-Oroua Power Board visited Levin and scored a win by 53 runs in a match with the Horowhenua Board.
