A lava stream is moving towards the sea from i the volcano, threatening the | village of Kurogami in south- { ern Kyushu. The newspaper Asahi reports | that three evacuation ships are preparing to move villagers in the path of the lava stream, which is travelling a quarter of a miie daily.
