Surprise results were frequent, and Foxland, the Trial winner, paid more than a third of a century. - A Good Finish. Favourites failed in the chief event, the St. Patrick's Handicap, whieh Was won by Dink's Own in a good finish with Seafire. Dinlc's own was always well placed and was nicely ridden. He was in front below the distance and just held on to score by a heacl from Seafire, who finished the better, but had covered extra grouhd. Master Ted, a fair third, was proiniuent throughout. Yandra did well to finish fourth after an indifferent passage, and Black Plato, hOading a bunch, was flfth. Peter 's Choice was always well back, Derryogue "^vas a' leader to the sttaight, and Hippodrome was never a possibility. . , Easy for Robin«'s Reward. Robin's Reward walked away with the two-year-old handicap, and Roy's Pal, who led to the straight, easily beat the rest. Mallow was third and White Diainond fourth. Balcairn rau badly. . Saltwafer finished best to win the Flying biy half a length from Tideless, who just beat Royal Charter, with Auto^core fourth. Silvec Pal paid double: figures to win the Bmlge Memorial in runaway style from Po-Marama, with Restriction, Broiefort Star and Gardane next. The Stratford Racing Club's Autumn meeting was held on Saturday in showery weather. The track was holding after steady rain. There was a •large . attendance. - The totalisator "handled £39,979.
