Under his brilliamt leadershiji, .he squadron of his wing materially contributed to the suceess of the Siei ian campaign. Later, in 1943, he completed niany bombing and low-level at tacks in Spitfires. I11 February, 1945, •ie led his squadron in a highly successful attack 011 a heavily-defended bridge it Grisolera, and, a month later, atacked a concentration of raihvay transport in which four locomotives were destroyed and 70 trucks damaged. In addition, he liad been tireless in organising and leading missions i-n close support of the Eighth Armv. He was a Battle of Britain pilot and in February. 194J, at Bebington, he was niarried to Miss Doreon .Graves, danghter of Mr. W. N. Graves, of .Talna, Kingsville Road, Bebington, where he made his home. Wing-Commander Bary lost his 3ife while gallantly leading his wing in the. operati'ons in Italy, last .year, which led to the final def'eat of the A.xis forces in llifs theatre.
