FORTHCOMING SPORTS The Otaki A.A. and C. Club will hold a sports meeting on the Otaki domain.on Saturday, April 6, when a splendid programme of events will be submitted. The club, sincc its formation, has made rapid strides, and by the aid of the weekly lueetings, runners and riders are in good form. Besides the many local atliletes strong support has been promised from Levin, while leading competitors from various parts will be seen in action in competing for the many valuable trophies, such as the Blakeway cup, the Macleod cup, the Gilbert White cup, the late Mr. Ricliards' trophy and other valuable prizes. The programme is one of less than twenty-sevcn events, not including races, etc., for thc youngcr fry of school age. Admission for adults will be 1/6, and for childrefi of school age 6d. Light refreshments will be available. while the Otaki Brass Band will be present to enliven proceedings by fine selections. Entries close on March 27 with the secretary, Mr. O. B. Nilsson.
