-4» Personal The Rev. Paora Temuera, who has been in Wellington for several days, returned to Otaki yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Edwards and family leave for the South Island on Monday on holiday. Mr. and Mrs. C. Moore, of Levin, expect to take up residence in Otaki at no distant date. Mr. Moore, at one time, was orie of Wairarapa's leading footballers. Heavy Rain Heavy rain, which will have a beneficial elfect on pastures and gardens, fell in Otaki yesterday. Prize to Te Horo The fourth prize of £150 in the "My Tum Now" art union was won by A. MacDonald, Levin, while £10 prizes were won by "Dav Out," Foxton, and "Remembrance." Levin. A £5 prize went to "2T2D," Te Horo. Te Iloro Factory The Wellington City Milk Department has decided to take over the Te Horo dairy factory as from April 16. The Te Iloro Company will go into liquidation and a society will be formed. New Plunket Rooms It is stated thal the Manakau Plunket Society has raised about £270 towards a Plunket room, and that at the week-end the Hon. R. Semple will visit Manakau aird film a picture, "Land of Plenty," a Plunket picture, the proceeds to be given to the society.
