MOVE TOWARDS THE TURKISH BORDER

Highly reliabie reports from Azerbaijan state that the Russian combat troops are moving southwest across | Persia in the general direction ot the Turkish-Persian borders, said the As- ■ ( sociated Press correspondent. The Red Army has also moved tanks and armoured cars into Karaj. A new Russ an cavalry column is reported to be moving into Persia through the border town of Astara, on the Oaspian Sea. Troops with full combat kit are reported to have entered Mianeh, Maragheh and Miyanduab fn a move apparently aimed at skirting the southern end of Lake Eurmia.
