Activity at Station \ There is much activity at the railway station, where the carpenters and plumbers are busy repairing the buildings prior to the arrival of the painters.. It is understood that the new colours are to be cream and green, which will add a spot of colour to the town. Preparing for Sports Members of the sports club have been hard at work during the last few days getting the grotind iri order for the forthcoming meeting. The secretary reports that the ground is now in tip-top order and competitors are expected from all over the district and as far south as Wellington. George Formby Goes Missing The management of the Shannon theatre suffered a severe headache when the film for the Tuesday ■evening screening failed to arrive at a late hour. After much telephoning a second copy was dispatched from Wellington by the Auckland express, which was met at Levin by car, and the film made a fast jour(ney, arriving in time for the regu'lar screening.
