AUCKLAND, March 12. Spealters at tliis niorning's sitting of tlae annual conferenee of the New Zealand Master Butehers' Assoeiation expressed the opinion that, wliile the present system of meat rationing caused a great deal of inconvenienee to butehers, nothing should be done whieh would reduce the amount of meaa exported to Britain. A motion by Mr. A. L. Keith (South Auckland) that a niove be made to liave rationing aboiislied, was dei'eated, as also was an amendment moved by Mr. W. Vauglian (Carterton) that the present rationing system be replaeed by a more siniple i'orm. *'lt is not t'air that we should ask to have rationing abolished while people on the other side of the world are starving, ' ' said Mr. A. S. Kinsman (South Canterbury).
