Although Cressida, winner of tlie Taranaki Stakes 011 Saturday, ivas last night disqualified and the stake money went to Blaek Boret, Gavinmor and Duplicity, the protcst was not lodged in time to prevent a pay-out of dividends according to the "judge 's placings. Tlie disqualification was made as a result of a protest by the owner of Blaek Beret that Cressida had failed to carry her correct weight 7.12. She earried tlie weight shovvu in tlie book, j 7,9, which was an incorrect assessment under tlie conditioiis of the race. Under rule 255 (1), an owner is responsible for the proper weight earried by his horse.
